Industrial management assistant

Activities

Industrial management assistant is a highly qualified, respected training-based career with lots of opportunities at companies. The training course teaches theoretical and practical knowledge in all business sectors such as materials management, production management, sales and accounting, and anywhere these come together.
Industrial management assistants work on and manage business processes. In materials management, they compare offers among other things, negotiate with suppliers and are in charge of incoming goods and storage. In production management, they plan, manage and monitor the manufacture of goods or services and prepare the accompanying order documentation. In sales, their responsibilities include calculations, preparing offers and price lists, sales negotiations with customers, and processing orders. Industrial management assistants are employed in the accounting and finance departments, where they work on, book, manage and monitor business processes. Everyday activities include document management as well as cooperative exchange and collaboration with other company departments.

Tools mechanic

Activities

Tools mechanic is a highly qualified, respected career. Tools mechanics manufacture complex technical moulding tools for batch production of metal and plastic parts in the industry. This is usually done based on a technical drawing using computer-controlled (CNC) machinery. They first manufacture individual high-precision parts using the specifications of work drawings and plans, and then assemble them by hand into functional tools and machine tools. Tolerances of tenths to hundredths of a millimetre and, in some cases, thousandths of a millimetre (µm) have to be ensured. Tools mechanics also program, operate, maintain and repair computer-supported manufacturing machinery.

Toolmakers are often independent companies. As a plastics processing company, Froli operates its own tool, model and moulding construction facility, which is where we train future tools mechanics. Trainees are thus able to experience the process of manufacturing plastic products, from development and tool construction to batch production. In addition to manufacturing mouldings for injection moulding production, they obtain insight into the manufacture of epoxy resin mouldings, vacuum forming tools and the corresponding production processes.
